We are pleased to invite parents, carers, family members and friends to our Macmillan Coffee Afternoon on:
π Friday 25th September
β° 2:00pm
To help support this fantastic cause, children are invited to come to school wearing something green for a non-uniform day. π
All donations from both the Coffee Afternoon and the non-uniform day will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support, helping to provide vital support for people living with cancer and their families.
We look forward to welcoming you for an afternoon of tea, coffee, cake and community spirit, while raising money for such an important charity. βπ°π
Thank you for your support and generosity. π
We are delighted to share that our school has been awarded a Certificate of Achievement, achieving a fantastic Silver Gilt award in this year's Northumbria in Bloom competition! πΈπ»
Mrs High and some of our gardening club members attended the awards event this morning to receive the certificate on behalf of the school. π
The judges were full of praise for our outdoor spaces, commenting on:
πΊ The very colourful and sensory planters outside the school
π The eye-catching signs on the railings promoting pollinators as superheroes
πΌ The wildflower area, raised vegetable beds, water catchment system and fruit trees
π± The enthusiasm and dedication of Mrs High and the gardening club children
β»οΈ The support from parents through plant donations and recycling projects
β¨ The clean, tidy and well-maintained environment throughout the school grounds
This achievement reflects the hard work, commitment and teamwork of our children, staff and families. A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed to making our school grounds such a vibrant and welcoming place for people and wildlife alike.
Well done to Mrs High and all of our young gardeners on this wonderful achievement! πΏπ»ππ 16 Likes
