Nursery
Welcome to Nursery
In Nursery we love to learn outside which is where we spend most of our time, exploring our school grounds and local community. Don't forget to dress for the weather and bring lots of spares in a bag. We use lots of resources from the world around us to develop our understanding of lots of different concepts, we love singing songs and reading stories too!
In Nursery there are lots of different adults who are here to help you and chat to your adults about any worries too! Please feel free to have a chat at drop off or pick up time. Mrs Hillary is our Teacher, Miss Kirkwood and Miss Robson are our Teaching Assistants.

Mrs Hillary
Hello! I am Mrs Hillary. I have been at Catchgate since September 2024 and I am also the SENCo of the school too. I live in Consett with my husband and my 2 boys who are aged 13 and 6. I love going on walks and adventures with my family. I like visiting the beach and I also love baking!

Our Curriculum
Important Information
On Tuesday we have PE. We will help children get changed for PE but we encourage parents to practice dressing and undressing skills at home.
On Friday we have Forest school. All children should come in to school in their forest school clothes. We recommend old and warm clothes with wellies.
Please ensure all clothing and shoes are clearly labelled with your child's name so they can be easily reunited with them.
