With the continued support of Mrs High and Mrs Errington, our classroom is a busy, happy place full of learning and laughter. As we head towards Christmas, we’re excited to keep building on everything we’ve achieved so far and to enjoy all the festive fun still to come!
Year 4/5W 2025-2026
Miss Wilson is our class teacher, and she has brought lots of enthusiasm and new ideas to our learning this year. She enjoys getting to know everyone, making lessons fun and engaging, and creating a positive classroom where everyone feels supported and ready to do their best.
Our Learning: Autumn 2
Our Maths focus is on multiplication and division, while in English we will be enjoying Who Let the Gods Out? by Maz Evans. We are also practising cursive handwriting through our new Letter-Join scheme, encouraging everyone to develop a fluent, joined-up style.
This term in Science, we are exploring materials, their properties, and why understanding them is important in everyday life.
In RE, we will learn the themes and messages of Christmas from a Christian perspective.
PE takes place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with lessons on invasion games and gymnastics this term.
For Art and DT, we follow the Kapow curriculum and are working on extending and deepening our drawing skills.
In History, we are learning about the Ancient Greeks - the city-states, their beliefs and their way of life will all be explored.
Our PSHE lessons focus on feelings, emotions, and self-regulation, helping children recognise and manage their emotions effectively.
To support your child’s learning at home, we encourage daily reading. Each child brings home a book-band book and a reading-for-pleasure book, and they are given regular opportunities to visit our well-stocked school library to choose and change their books.
